Message Template
February is Heart Health Month in the U.S., Canada, and the UK. It’s a time when everyone can learn more about cardiovascular health and what it means to live a heart-healthy life.
More than half a billion people around the world continue to be impacted by cardiovascular disease, which accounts for approximately a third of all deaths globally. Engaging in self-care practices is key to maintaining a healthy heart. This includes regular physical activity, adopting a nutritious diet, ensuring adequate sleep, refraining from smoking, and managing stress in healthy ways.
The most common symptom of a heart attack for both men and women is chest pain. But women may experience less obvious warning signs, such as shortness of breath, nausea/vomiting, and back or jaw pain. You may experience some or all of these signs.
Take advantage of {@companyname} benefits to support your heart health through comprehensive wellness programs, preventive care, and access to top-notch medical services.

Things to consider:
- Provide resources and benefit information on where employees can get testing for heart disease.
- Share your matching policy and include resources where employees can donate to different charities helping heart disease.
- Encourage employees to share stories, if they are comfortable, about how their lives have been impacted by heart disease.
- Include resources and warning signs of a heart attack.
- Ask your benefits provider for any resources.
